A City Night's Ride
(The stage is dark, except for two plain-looking chairs sitting center, side by side. As the lights come up, the sounds of a busy city are heard. Car horns, people talking, ambulance sirens, etc. The lighting should change gradually throughout the play, giving the setting of the dim evening getting darker into night. Milly Stienbeck enters stage left dressed in upper class, Audrey Hepburn attire, carrying an expensive-looking purse.
